Advertise every patch as available?
Is it insane to break up patches by year, create software update packages for each, then make every one of them a software update group advertised to systems as available? Currently I span years and run reports to validate compliance, adding any missing updates into current patching cycles deployed.
The question came up. What if a user installs the OS from ISO, SQL Server or Microsoft Office. It would be helpful to have all those updates available to clients so patching didn't have to wait until another cycle.
