Microsoft Security Patches for June 2014 - USB Keyboard/Mouse not Working?

Has anyone run across this?

USB/Mouse keyboard are unavailable following installation of the latest patches.  We rolled all patches back and the issue was resolved....reinstalling the updates causes the problem again.  We at first assumed this was an MS13-081 issue and have since ruled that out.  We've isolated this to the following KBs and are continuing to troubleshoot:

KB2939576 (MS14-033); KB2957189 (MS14-031); KB2881069 (MS14-036); KB2957509 (MS14-036); KB2880513 (MS14-034); KB2878233 (MS14-036); KB2957689 (MS14-035); KB2880515 MS14-034); KB2957503 (MS14-036).
One workaround has been to do the following (it worked on one PC, so your mileage may vary):
1) Boot to Windows PE
2) delete C:\windows\system32\drivers\USB*.sys drivers
3) Boot to Windows 7 and allow drivers to plug and play.

    Hi

I've seen this a few times with different updates so not sure if it's specific to a certain update or just "happens" but something you could look at is the following KB:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2529073

It's not specifically for your issue but it should update the USB files for you, might be worth a try too.

    Regards
    Alan
